Participants develop the capacity to navigate and hold space for complex emotional terrain while maintaining neutrality, learning how to structure conversations, manage moments of impasse, and support parties in moving from positions toward meaningful, workable agreements.

PeaceChord's Neutral Drafting Trainings teach neutral mediators and other conflict resolution professionals (that are drafting Memoranda of Understanding after mediation) and attorney-mediators and paralegals (that are drafting Settlement Agreements after mediation) how to translate parties’ decisions into clear, balanced, and practical written agreements without slipping into advocacy. The trainings address neutral language, appropriate levels of detail, issue spotting, enforceability considerations, and the ethical boundaries between facilitating agreement, drafting terms, and unauthorized legal practice.
